Lanes and numbered bays

Bowling lane reservation software

HoldATime reserves bowling lanes as numbered units under one resource — Lane 1–12 — the same model as Court 1–4. Centers and rec rooms use it so walk-up and party holds do not collide at the desk.

How to set it up

Create Bowling as one resource and add a unit per lane. A booking holds only those lanes, so open lanes stay available at the same hour.

Set a game or hour maximum, a buffer to reset pins or shoes, and who may book. Optional questions can ask party size. This is not a bowling-center POS; it is the reservation calendar and QR pass.

  • Name the bowling resource and add Lane 1 through your last lane.
  • Set how long one hold lasts and whether a party can take several lanes.
  • Choose who may book and whether large parties need approval.
  • Post a QR code at the control desk or the approach.

Who it is for

Community bowling centers, campus rec rooms, and clubs that share a short bank of lanes.

Frequently asked questions

Can you reserve bowling lanes with HoldATime?

Yes. Number each lane. People hold Lane 4 for a block of time; another group can still take Lane 5 at the same time.

Is HoldATime bowling-center software?

No. It does not run scoring or a snack bar. It publishes lane availability, rules, and a QR pass — the same resource flow as courts.

How do lane units and QR work?

Each lane is a unit. The desk poster opens live availability; the pass shows the lane numbers and time for the front desk.

Where do we start after picking bowling lanes?

Create the resource, add lanes, set duration, then publish. The catalog lists other numbered-unit types that work the same way.
