Classroom and study room reservation software
HoldATime books classrooms and study rooms for period-length holds so two teachers or study groups cannot claim the same room. Schools and libraries number rooms the same way clubs number courts.
How to set it up
Add each classroom or a bank of study rooms as units. A hold locks that room for the period you set — often 45 to 90 minutes.
Use Groups so staff, clubs, and after-hours rentals see the right rooms. Recurring class holds stay off until you enable them. A QR poster by the room or library desk opens availability.
- Create classroom or study-room resources and number units that book independently.
- Set a period-length maximum and a short buffer between classes.
- Limit who may book with Groups or a staff list.
- Post QR codes at the rooms or the library desk.
Who it is for
Public schools, districts, and libraries that share rooms without a full SIS booking module.

Frequently asked questions
Can you reserve classrooms or study rooms with HoldATime?
Yes. Number the rooms, set a period length, and let staff or students hold an open room from the calendar or a QR poster.
Do we need a different product for school rooms?
No. Classrooms use the same HoldATime room resource. See the Schools page for gyms and fields on the same organization.
How do room units and QR work?
Room 12 is independent of Room 14. The poster opens live availability; the pass shows the room and period.
Where do we start after picking classrooms?
Create the rooms, set period length and who may book, then publish. The free school room-booking story covers double-booking.
