Music practice and rehearsal room reservations
HoldATime reserves music practice and rehearsal rooms as numbered short holds so the next ensemble is not waiting in the hall. Schools and community music programs use the same room model as meeting rooms.
How to set it up
Create Practice Rooms with Room 1–10 as units, and a separate Rehearsal Hall if that space has a longer duration.
Set a 30- or 45-minute cap on practice rooms, a longer window on the hall, and who may book. A QR poster in the hallway opens the next open room.
- Name practice rooms and number each independently bookable room.
- Set a short maximum duration so rooms turn over.
- Limit who may book — students, faculty, or community Groups.
- Hang a QR poster in the practice-room hallway.
Who it is for
School music departments, community music schools, and churches that share practice rooms.

Frequently asked questions
Can you reserve music practice rooms with HoldATime?
Yes. Number each room, set a short hold, and let musicians pick an open room from the poster in the hall.
Do we need a music-school product?
No. Practice rooms use the standard HoldATime room resource. There is no recital-ticketing module.
How do units and QR work for practice rooms?
Room 4 is independent of Room 5. Scanning the hallway poster opens availability; the pass shows the room and time.
Where do we start after picking practice rooms?
Create the rooms, set short durations, then publish. Meeting-room setup is the closest full walkthrough.
