Sports field reservation software
HoldATime is field reservation software for soccer, baseball, football, and multi-use turf that parks and schools share. Coaches hold a numbered field for a practice block instead of arguing in a group chat about who has Field 2.
How to set it up
Create one resource per complex or one per sport if the rules differ. Add Field 1–4 as units so two teams can practice at the same hour on different fields.
Enable recurring holds only for the coach Groups that need a weekly slot. Set a practice-length maximum and a buffer if the next game needs lining. A QR poster at the lot or bleachers opens live availability.
- Name the field complex and add independently bookable field units.
- Set practice or game duration and how far ahead coaches can book.
- Use Groups so house teams, rentals, and rec programs see the right fields.
- Publish the page and post a QR code at the parking lot or field gate.
Who it is for
Parks departments, schools, clubs, and rec leagues that share grass or turf without a league-management suite.

Frequently asked questions
Can you reserve sports fields with HoldATime?
Yes. Soccer, baseball, football, and multi-use fields are resources with numbered units. Coaches pick an open block; the calendar blocks a second hold on the same field.
Do we need a different product for fields versus courts?
No. Fields use the same HoldATime resource model. Recurring coach blocks are optional on that resource; you do not buy a separate field product.
How do numbered fields and QR posters work?
Field 1 and Field 2 book independently. Scanning the lot poster opens availability; the pass shows the field name and time for the coach or umpire.
Where do we start after picking sports fields?
Create the field resource, add units, set duration and Groups, then publish. Practice scheduling stories cover weekly coach plans.
