Lanes and numbered bays

Swim lane reservation software

HoldATime reserves swim lanes or whole-pool windows so lap swim does not collide with a team set. Parks and schools number Lane 1–8 the same way they number courts.

How to set it up

Use one resource for lap lanes with a unit per lane, or a second resource for whole-pool closures. A team hold on Lanes 1–4 can leave Lanes 5–8 open for lap swim if you book by unit.

Set session length, a buffer for the next set, and Groups for team versus public hours. A QR poster at the locker door or lifeguard stand opens live availability.

  • Create a swim-lane resource and number each lane, or add a whole-pool resource.
  • Set session length and whether one booking can take several lanes.
  • Use Groups for team practice versus public lap swim.
  • Post a QR code at the locker hallway or pool gate.

Who it is for

Municipal pools, school aquatics, and clubs that share lanes without a team-meet suite.

Frequently asked questions

Can you reserve swim lanes with HoldATime?

Yes. Number each lane or book whole-pool time. Teams and lap swimmers pick an open block so two groups are not in the same lane.

Do we need a pool management product?

No. HoldATime does not run chemical logs or meet scoring. It is reservation software for named pool time and numbered lanes.

How do lane units and QR work at the pool?

Lane 2 is independent of Lane 3. The poster opens availability; the pass shows the lane and time for the deck.

Where do we start after picking swim lanes?

Create the resource, add lanes or a whole-pool window, set duration and Groups, then publish.
