Lanes and numbered bays

Track lane reservation software

HoldATime books track lanes as numbered units for clubs and schools that share a oval. Coaches hold Lane 4–6 for a block instead of claiming the whole track in a text thread.

How to set it up

Create the track as one resource with a unit per lane. A practice can take more than one lane if you allow multi-unit holds; open lanes stay bookable.

Set practice length, weather-day blackouts if you use them, and Groups for school teams versus community clubs. A QR poster at the gate or press box opens the calendar.

  • Name the track resource and add a unit for each lane you assign.
  • Set practice duration and whether one booking can hold several lanes.
  • Limit who may book with Groups or an imported roster.
  • Hang a QR poster at the track gate.

Who it is for

High schools, colleges, and running clubs that share a track with PE and community use.

Frequently asked questions

Can you reserve track lanes with HoldATime?

Yes. Number the lanes, set a practice window, and let coaches hold only the lanes they need.

Do we need meet-management software?

Not for practice booking. HoldATime does not seed heats. It is the shared calendar and QR pass for numbered lanes.

How do lane units and QR work on a track?

A hold on Lane 5 does not block Lane 1 unless you reserved both. The gate poster opens live availability.

Where do we start after picking track lanes?

Create the resource, add lanes, set duration and Groups, then publish. School facility scheduling covers gyms and fields on the same org.
